We are very excited this term to be exploring the history of America. We will focus on the theme of slavery and equality, and how this has changed over the course of history. Our key text will help us to understand how we can learn to understand the perspective of others and how we can appreciate both our differences and our similarities. 

Wonder is based around the life of Auggie... a boy born different who strives to overcome all difficulties to live the life he dreams. Drama, friendship, tears, humour... this book is so relatable for our 10 year olds that they enter a new world. 

Our creative side will also pop this term, as we will explore how art and music can influence our feelings. We cannot wait for our BSO concert at Poole Lighthouse!
