Year 4 : 4AW 4TF 4KV

Welcome to Year 4

All About Me - Transition folder 2020

Hopefully you have enjoyed meeting your teaching ‘virtually’ and have gone through the powerpoint to have a look at your classroom and see what next year will look like. We have now added a ‘Meet your teacher’ and ‘Meet you TA’ sheet with some fun facts and some things you might not know about them! Hopefully these will inspire you for you ‘All About Me’ activity in the transition activity folder.

Transition 2020 Folder

In this folder, along with the weekly activities, you will now find a ‘Meet your Teacher’ tab. In this there is a video for you to watch and a powerpoint for you to look at so that you can meet your new teacher virtually and get to know them little bit better.

On Friday will be uploading a Meet you Teacher sheet with some fun facts so don’t forget to take a look!

Transition Activities

Normally at this time of year in school, we start to think about transition activities to support the children as they move up to their new year group. As we are unable to start this with all the children at the moment, we have put a transition tab on each class page which will include one weekly activity for your child to look at with you at home should they wish to. It can be an exciting time but also, for some, a worrying one and they may have some questions about next year. The activities will look at what they are looking forward to, any worries that they may have and an ‘All About Me’ sheet which they can fill out ready for their new teacher.

There will be an activity added to the tab each week along with other resources so please use what best suits yourself and your family at this time.

Friday 6th September 2019

Welcome back!

Year 4 have had a wonderful first week back with lots of hard working and eager children.

Granny did it! We solved a crime on Thursday for our magical starter. Children became investigators and using the clues lead the crime to Granny! Children wrote a report and we were impressed with their writing skills.

Just a reminder PE is on a Wednesday and Thursday please make sure that the children have the correct PE kit (coloured house t-shirt, navy shorts and trainers).

The year 4 curriculum evening is Thursday 26th September at 6pm!

Have a great weekend!

The Year 4 team J
