Thursday 9th April
Along came April Fool’s Day where a wordsearch was posted on Muscliff’s Facebook page. Thank you, Molly, for having a go however she was only able to find four of the words listed. When she and her sister put those four words together, she realised something was up. YOU HAVE BEEN PRANKED! Sorry Molly – you are a great sport!
We also heard from Milly who has been enjoying Miss Fisher’s videos (thank you – it’s good to know they’re being watched)! It’s also great to hear you’ve been able to make the most of this nice weather and keeping active in the garden.
Sienna is feeling particularly proud this week, as she should, for working hard on her times tables and has reached the top of Doodle Tables collecting 204 stars! Great work Sienna, keep it up! Picture below.
Reading an email from Charlie W made us chuckle. We LOVE the idea of using a school bell sound to signal the start of learning!! Keeping a journal is a great way of recording events and feelings during a time like this. We highly recommend you keep it and have it to look back on in years to come. You are quite literally making history! We hope Charlie enjoyed his birthday. Picture below.
Stars of the Week!
5BP – Charlie for keeping some routine to learning at home. It can be tricky when things aren’t ‘normal’ but it sounds like keeping some routine is working well for you 😊
5KF – Flynn for a great effort across all Doodle apps since school closed three weeks ago. We can see that this has improved your ‘Doodle age’. Well done!
5RD – Sienna. It was fantastic to hear your news about your success on Doodle Tables. Persistence pays off, go you!
It’s been really lovely to hear that children are keeping in touch with each other, as well as us, during this time. We as school staff have been keeping in touch lots too so, to finish this week’s blog, a quick quiz… answers to Year 5 Stay in Touch email!
Quiz - Who did what this week? Mr D, Miss F or Mrs P?
- Made a mini egg cheesecake
- Started and finished a book
- Found new local walks
Have an eggcellent Easter weekend… see what I did there?
Year 5 Team 😊
