Thursday 11th June
Many thanks to everyone who has been keeping in touch this week. It is wonderful to hear how lots of you are enjoying the learning content we have added to the website.
Molly, busy as ever, has enjoyed completing her learning about light and getting stuck into the work on volcanoes and earthquakes this week. She has also enjoyed the maths work on decimals and English looking at direct and indirect speech. Additionally, Molly has stunned us with her incredible art skills. Look at this masterpiece:
Katie had a go at making an erupting volcano this week and also successfully solved Mr Deans’ bar modelling question – check the main Year 5 page if you would like to have a go yourself.
Amy wrote a lovely diary entry this week, it sounds like she had a wonderful time at the beach!
Lily-Paige has also been extremely busy with her learning at home. In addition to completing all of the tasks on the website, she has been practicing ukulele, dancing, playing golf, doing yoga and she took inspiration from the Alex Horowitz blog to produce this wonderful piece of adventure writing:
It was also lovely to hear from Ben this week. He has completed his timetable for events in the USA, finished reading ‘The Beast of Buckingham Palace’ (see his review below) and practised his fractions work. Well done Ben!
Stars of the week:
5BP – Noah, for all of the Doodle stars that you have been collecting, you have worked so hard. Well done Noah!
5KF – Mia, for continuing to work hard at home. Well done for earning so many Doodle stars!
5RD – Stacey, for also being a busy bee at home. Every week you are earning lots of Doodle stars and working hard, well done!
