Become an inventor! - Week 5
Throughout this term, you have looked at who you want to be and studied someone who is an aspiration to us all. Hopefully you have learnt lots of new things and had fun with all the different activities!
Our next challenge for you over the next week and half term is to have a look at some people who have used their knowledge and determination to create something that has had a great impact on our lives. Look through the powerpoint before completing the inventor research (you can choose any inventor you wish!), then become an inventor yourself and create your your own invention!
You never know, we might have a future inventor in our hands in you!
You may have heard that 99-year-old British war veteran, Captain Tom Moore has completed 100 laps of his 25m back garden in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire! He has raised over £28 million for Britain's National Health Service (NHS) and has received donations to his fundraising challenge from all around the world! Captain Tom began raising funds to thank NHS staff who helped him with treatment for cancer and a broken hip, he originally aimed to raise just £1000 but quickly passed his target!
Look at the resources below and have ago at the activities on the sheet. Don't forget to share your brilliant work with us via email!
Why not have a go at creating a family aspirations tree? You could think about all the things you want to achieve in the next few weeks, months, years or even what job you would like to do or where you would like to go in the future!
