Friday 18th October - Head teacher's message
This week I had a wonderful first meeting with our new Year 6 House Captains - they are full of ideas to get children more involved in different aspects of school life (some were more realistic than others!) They have kindly volunteered to run a Children In Need cake sale on 15th November as part of our fundraising - look out for details in next week's newsletter.
On Monday at 6pm the Parents' Evening booking system will be live. Please see the link in the email sent to parents. If you have any problems at all, please pop in to the office from Tuesday to see Mrs Harvey.
We have individual and sibling photographs on Tuesday/ Wednesday - please make sure the children are looking their best!
Please look out for the questionnaire being sent to parents about homework. We are keen to receive your feedback following the introduction of Doodle Spell and Doodle English this term.
This is the longest half term of the year, and although the children are tired, they continue to astound us with their curiosity and commitment to learning. Walking around the school I am met on a daily basis with smiles and lovely manners; I really enjoy hearing the children's news and seeing what they are learning. Next week Mrs Huns and I will be showing prospective reception parents around the school - I am sure they will be impressed with what they see too.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend, Mrs Fenby
