School Council

Our school council is formed at the start of each academic year with the children voting for two class representatives in years 1 -6.  The children meet regularly and they are involved in a great deal of the decision making in school. They act as representatives for their class.

The School Council successfully raised funds via a cake sale for their chosen charity of Julia's House and continue to think of ways to support the charity.

This year, School Council members have enjoyed meeting and working with the other school councils as part of the Bournemouth Septenary Trust (BST). The seven schools meet regularly with their parliament members to disucss projects and share ideas they use at their own schools. We are looking forward to our joint litter picking projects in the summer to support the local communities.

One of the fundraising ideas discussed by the School Council Team this year was the sale of ice lollies after school during the summer months.  We are hoping to plan this event and that it will raise a large amount of money for School Council funds.

If your child has any ideas about how to improve the school then please get them to pass it on to their school council representative. smiley
