How are parents involved with Muscliff Primary? How can I be more involved?

We welcome and encourage the involvement and support of our parents/carers and whole community. Our children really benefit from having parents/carers in to help with curriculum areas, under the direction of our teachers, and to support with trips and outings. Members of our community with areas of expertise are encouraged to let us know so we can use their skills to further enhance our curriculum - if you're a whizz with a paint brush or a keen programmer…let us know!

If you are able to offer any time to support in school then please give your details to the office staff. We manage offers of help centrally so support can be targeted to where it is needed the most.

From an SEND perspective, we hold regular coffee/biscuit (!) mornings where anyone who considers their child to have any kind of special educational need can come along. Having a child with any kind of special educational need and/or disability can be an isolating, stressful and worrying experience (as well as rewarding, exciting, happy and fun!). Come along to our coffee mornings to meet other parents/carers who may be feeling the same. We invite professionals from a range of services along to talk about what is 'out there' and available to our children and their families. In recent times we have enjoyed time with Coping with Chaos, behaviour support specialists and a primary mental health worker from CAMHs. Our parents and staff are very welcoming to any new people thinking of coming along - the message is, 'You're not alone!'

Look out in the Newsletter (online and sent home regularly) for the latest dates and news about the coffee morningsget involved!
